A $1,000/month plan built the only way $33/day works: organic-first, one consolidated campaign, Spark-boost the winners, and let the creative do the targeting. STAOS: Structure · Tracking · Analyze · Optimize · Scale.
Prepared Aug 2026 · account verified live Aug 1, 2026 · Grounded in data, not hypeThe account is a seed, not an engine yet. 1,191 followers and the best bio in golf DTC — "Above average golf apparel for the below average golfer" — but no posting cadence, no ads, no creator pipeline. This plan builds the engine around the seed.
$33/day cannot feed four ad groups. It can feed one — generously.
TikTok needs roughly 50 conversions per ad group per week to exit learning phase. At industry-range economics (~$0.80 CPC, ~1.4% CVR — illustrative midpoints), $33/day yields maybe 3–6 purchases a week for the whole account.
Split that across 3–4 "organized" ad groups and every one starves: none exits learning, CPAs whipsaw, and the algorithm never stabilizes. Consolidation isn't a compromise at this budget — it's the strategy.
Campaign: RB_TT_Core_Sales_202609
Ad: POV-Card9_Spark_H2_v1 — angle code, format, hook number, cut.
Angle codes: POV bogey identity · RMF rate my fit · FND founder story · UNB unboxing · STC stitch/duet · DEMO product demo.
Shop is a real lever for a $35 hat, but it adds fulfillment and fee complexity. Decision gate: revisit when the account clears ~5K followers (Shop affiliate threshold) and ads have run profitably for 60+ days. Until then: website conversions only.
Week-one work. Nothing gets scaled on numbers we can't trust.
event_id; TikTok dedupes so purchases aren't double-counted. Verified in Events Manager, not assumed.utm_source=tiktok&utm_medium=paid + campaign/ad name — so Shopify, GA4 and the Klaviyo program see TikTok revenue independently.TikTok reports on 7-day click / 1-day view. It claims view-through purchases it may not have driven — and misses the classic TikTok path: watch, don't click, Google "rippin bogeys" two days later. Neither TikTok's dashboard nor Shopify's last-click is "the truth."
Our contract: in-platform numbers decide which ad beats which ad. Whether TikTok deserves $1K/month is judged on blended MER (total Shopify revenue ÷ total ad spend) plus post-purchase survey answers, branded-search lift, and TikTok-UTM sessions.
Weekly creative reads, monthly business reads. Daily CPA at $33/day is noise.
| Metric | Industry range | What it tells us |
|---|---|---|
| CPM | $6–12 | Cost of attention — TikTok is the cheapest reach in paid social |
| CTR | 0.8–1.5% | Does the creative earn the tap? |
| CPC | $0.50–1.20 | Efficiency of the traffic we buy |
| CVR | 0.8–2% | Does the site close what TikTok opens? |
| 6-second view | ≥10–15% | Is the hook holding people past the swipe? |
| Format note | Spark > in-feed | Spark Ads outperform standard in-feed for small brands |
At $35–65 AOV and $1K/month spend, per-platform attribution splits pennies four ways and everyone lies a little. Blended MER — all revenue over all spend — can't be gamed by an attribution window, and it's the number the founders actually feel in their Shopify payouts.
On TikTok the creative is the targeting. So optimization is a creative discipline with hard rules, no feelings.
An organic post earns a boost when it's an outlier vs. the account's own baseline: roughly ≥3× median views, or an unusual save/share rate (saves and shares predict purchase intent better than likes).
Boost $10–20/day for 3–5 days inside the core campaign. It keeps its slot only if it survives the kill rules.
Iterate winners, don't chase novelty: a winner gets 5 more versions — new hooks, new sounds, same skeleton — before we invent a new concept.
| Kill / fix trigger | Action |
|---|---|
| Spend = 2× AOV (~$70–100), zero purchases | Kill. No debate. |
| 6s view rate < 8% after ~1K impressions | Kill the hook — re-cut the same body with a new first 3 seconds |
| CTR healthy, CVR ~0 for a week | Creative is fine, the landing page is suspect — fix the PDP, keep the ad |
| Winner fatigues (CTR down ~30% from peak, frequency up) | Refresh: new hook, new sound, same skeleton |
The $1K engine proves the angles. Scale is mostly adding creators and pointing winners at more people.
Every TikTok-acquired customer drops into the email program (see the Klaviyo flows page): welcome 15%, post-purchase, winback. TikTok fills the funnel; email earns the second purchase — which is where a $35-hat brand actually makes its margin.
Every angle is remixable across the catalog. Hooks shown are launch-ready.
The core angle. Celebrates being bad at golf in good gear. Endlessly remixable per product.
Self-aware consumer humor. Comment-bait: "what's your excuse purchase?"
Fit-check format: hat + polo + hoodie with price overlays. Drives multi-item carts past the $60 free-ship bar.
True origin story, from their own About page. Founder content reliably over-performs for small brands.
Close-up unbox: 3D embroidery, laser-etched vents, sticker moment. Doubles as the creator-brief template.
Stitch viral fail clips and reframe them — the brand literally exists to turn bad golf into good vibes. Rides existing distribution.
Shot-by-shot, 20–35s, in brand voice. Phone frames are concept mockups using real product imagery from rippinbogeys.com.
Engagement numbers on the phone mockups are illustrative concept art, not projections. Product images hotlinked from rippinbogeys.com (verified catalog, Aug 1 2026).
Instructors sell lessons. Our people sell vibes. We recruit golfers who post fails and jokes.
"Hey [name] — we're Rippin' Bogeys, the sombrero golf brand ('above average golf apparel for the below average golfer'). Your [specific video] is exactly our energy. Zero strings: we want to send you a hat and a hoodie. If you love them and post, amazing — if not, you've got a great hat. There's a paid + commission tier behind it if it lands. Worst case: free hat. Interested?"
Comp structure: Tier 1 gift (~$100 product, nothing owed) → Tier 2 flat $150–400 + product + 60-day Spark auth → Tier 3 flat + 10–15% affiliate commission. We pay for usage rights, not follower counts.
Start at $1K. Each tier has a gate — we scale when the data says so, not the calendar.
Thirty minutes: we'll walk the STAOS plan, the first month's creative calendar, and how TikTok hands customers to email.
